According to her mother, Hope carved a full minute off her own personal best of 21:05 -- set in Smyrna earlier this season -- and breaking her own state (age group) record.


Lebanons Scott Fanning, 42, was the overall winner with a time of 17:07 on a picture perfect day for running.

We couldnt have asked for better weather, said race director Scott Jasper.

We ordered 750 timing chips and every one of them was handed out. This was the largest competitive field weve had. Sherrys Run is drawing serious runners from the mid-state as well as adjoining states. I think for the most part everyone likes the course -- the combination of hills and flat.
