NEXT UP, "O" ZONE WORLD SERIES
SWEETWATER -- Powered by 12 hits and three homers, the Lebanon Americans rolled to a 13-0 win over their rival Lebanon Americans in Tuesday’s championship game of the 12U Dixie “O” Zone State Tournament at the Sweetwater Recreation Complex.
    
The all-Lebanon final came on the heels of Sunday’s 1-0 win by the Lebanon Lions over Putnam County in the championship game of the 15U Babe Ruth State Tournament -- giving the Baird Park Complex two state crowns.
    
Both teams lost their tournament openers, then battled through the losers’ bracket to reach a one game, winner take all contest Tuesday afternoon.
    
With the victory, the Lebanon Americans have qualified for the Dixie Youth “O” Zone World Series in Lexington, South Carolina. Play starts Saturday night, Aug. 9 as the newly crowned Tennessee champions will take on Louisiana in a 12-team, double-elimination tournament.

Americans 13, Nationals 0
SWEETWATER -- Infielder Kameron Bond rapped out three hits and drove in five runs to pace the Lebanon Americans to a 13-0 win over the Lebanon Nationals in Tuesday’s finals.
    
Hitting out of the seven-hole, Bond clubbed a three-run triple to key an explosive first inning as his squad bolted to a 5-0 lead.
    
He later blasted a two-run homer as the Americans pounded out 12 hits in just four innings.
    
Winning pitcher Braden Reece and outfielder Luke Bradshaw also homered for the Americans who head to the “O” Zone World Series with a tournament record of 14-3. Jeremiah Hastings added two hits, scored twice and knocked in a run.
    
Reece worked three innings to get the decision, scattering four hits and striking out four.

Nationals 8, Savannah 6
SWEETWATER -- Rescued by a leaping, homerun robbing catch by centerfielder Tyson Kelley, the Lebanon Nationals earned a berth in the tournament finals with a thrilling 8-6 victory over powerful Savannah Tuesday morning.

Ryan Jackson had a pair of singles and drove in three runs while John Ross Bryan and Kolbe Gaines each had a run batted in.
