Eddie McDaniels paced LHS at the plate going 3-4 and scoring two runs. He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings. McKeon finished with two hits and two RBI while Pittman also drove in two runs.


With the win, Lebanon improved to 3-7 overall, 1-1 in District 9AAA.


Coach Brian Black's team is scheduled to host Lipscomb Academy Friday in a 6:30 p.m. game at Brent Foster Field.


The Blue Devils will be back in action Saturday as they host Pine Forest High of Florida at 1 p.m.


LHS will hit the road Monday, April 1 for a 4 p.m. contest at Ezell-Harding.


Blue Devils fall to GallatinLebanon High's baseball team slipped to 2-7 overall and 0-1 in District 9AAA following Wednesday nights 8-3 loss to Gallatin at Brent Foster Field.


The Green Wave broke open a 3-3 game with single runs in the top of the fourth and sixth innings -- then iced the victory with a three-spot in the top of the seventh.


GHS collected 11 hits off three LHS pitchers, taking advantage of six walks, a hit batsman and three Blue Devil errors. Only five Gallatin runs were earned.


Lebanon managed five hits, including two each from Bryce Lester and Taylor Bryan and one from Adam Cassetty.

Wilson Central 12, HHS 4HENDERSONVILLE -- Wilson Central improved to 6-3 on the season following Wednesdays District 9AAA victory over Hendersonville High at Drakes Creek Park.


Lefty A.J. Franklin (3-0) got the victory with six innings of two-hit work, striking out nine.


The Wildcats struck for four runs in the top of the first, three in the top of the fourth and four more runs in the seventh.


Cullen Smith paced the offense with a 3-for-4 effort and drove in four runs. Kyle Hubbuch went 2-for-3, scored three times and drove in a run while Jake Lefler was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Colten Morris drove in a pair of runs with a pinch-hit.


Coach Anthony Fords program is serving as a pool site for Riverdale Highs Warrior Classic. Friday, the Wildcats will play Ooltewah at 6:30 p.m. WCHS will take on East Tennessee power Hardin Valley Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by a 12:30 p.m. game vs. Jefferson County.


Beech 3, Mt. Juliet 0SHACKLE ISLAND -- Mt. Juliet High dropped to 9-3 on the season and 1-1 in District 9AAA following Wednesday nights 3-0 loss at Beech High.


The Golden Bears opened district play Tuesday with a 9-0 blanking of Gallatin as Marshal Gei dominated the Green Wave lineup.


Gei (2-0) hurled six scoreless innings, scattered four hits and struck out seven. Mt. Juliet pounded out 12 hits as every starter had at least one hit in the win. Kote Smith, Kyle Grace and Zach Ehrhart each picked up two hits.


MJ hosts Jefferson County Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the Warrior Classic.
