In fact, Goodall and his assistant, Tammy Knowles, say the clerk’s website also provides links to sites where you can purchase hunting and fishing licenses and calculate the taxes on boats and vehicles.

You can also arrange to support organ donation and access many other services, or even apply for a passport online.

Possibly the best part of these new services is that they are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so residents won’t have to take time away from work to get to the office during the day.

Just sit down at your computer and get online, then go to www.wilsoncountyclerk.com. The site is user friendly and allows you to fill out any forms you may need to, pay the fees with a credit or debit card and e-mail the form to the clerk.

For a regular passenger car, the fee will be $52.02. It does vary for other vehicles.Several times each day the clerks check the site and download the forms.

If the form is for a renewed license plate, they file it and mail you the sticker.

If the form is for a marriage license, the couple must come in and sign the book before they pick up the license. And the site offers maps to show you where the offices are to pick up your license.
