Lebanon High will host White County Friday in the 2013-2014 basketball home opener at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium. The girls game will tip at 6:30 p.m.

Coach Jim McDowell's Blue Devils opened the season with a 67-51 road win Tuesday at Shelbyville Central High.

Lebanon placed four players in double figures, led by Dashawn McMurry with 21, Carvell Huddleston had 16, Keshawn Abston 12 and K.K. Garnett added 11.

Trailing 27-26 at intermission, the Blue Devils broke the game open with a 17-7 run in the third quarter.

McMurry and Garnett each drilled three 3-pointers for LHS while Paul Tribble added a long bomb for his only points.

SHELBYVILLE -- A furious third quarter comeback fell short as Lebanon dropped a 49-44 loss at Shelbyville Central in Tuesday night's season opener.

Down 23-17 at halftime, Kelsey Yarbrough scored nine of Lebanon's 15 points tie the score at  32-all after three periods.

Abby Wright paced LHS with a game-high 26 points while Yarbrough finished with 13.

The Eaglettes sealed the win with a 13-of-19 effort at the free throw line. Lebanon was just 7-of-14 from the stripe.
