High school action on Friday night found Mt. Juliet holding off a determined Wilson Central squad 14-6 as the Bears overcame over 100 yards in penalties. Mt. Juliet improved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in District 9AAA. Central slid to 2-6 / 1-4.

Friendship Christian mauled Watertown High 42-7 at Robinson Stadium and Knox Webb thumped Mt. Juliet Christian 47-0. The Commanders upped their record to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in Region 4A. Watertown falls to 3-4 / 3-2. MJCA stands 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the East-Middle Region of Division II.

Defending Class 5A state champ Beech scored 21 points in the third quarter and ran away from Lebanon 42-21 at Shackle Island Stadium. Beech upped its record to 6-1 / 4-0 in District 9AAA. Lebanon fell the 3-5 / 1-4 in the league.
