4-on-4 volleyball June 26 -- A four-on-four recreational co-ed volleyball tournament will be held Saturday, June 26 beginning at 9 a.m. at Lebanon High School’s Campbell Brandon Gym and Friendship Christian School’s Bay Family Sportsplex. A minimum of two females per team is required. Entry fee is $40. Registration will run from 8-8:30 a.m. at LHS. Proceeds will go to the volleyball programs at Lebanon and Friendship.
CU baseball camp -- Cumberland University will hold baseball camps this summer at Stockton Field and Benton Jennings Indoor Hitting Facility on the CU campus. The Advanced Fundamental Camp will be held July 5-8 from 9 a.m.-Noon for ages 13-18. Lebanon Jr. Pro football -- Registration for the fall 2010 season of City of Lebanon Junior Pro Football is now being accepted at the Harold Dean Greer Recreation Building in the Baird Park Complex. The City of Lebanon has sponsored junior pro football since the late 1970s with a junior league for kids ages 7, 8 and 9 and a senior league for players 10, 11 and 12. Purple Tiger football camp -- Watertown High football coach Gavin Websters invites youngsters in grades 4-8 to participate in a football camp, July 14, 15 and 16 at Robinson Stadium. Cost is just $35 per athlete with camp sessions going from 9 a.m. - 12 Noon daily. Campers should wear shorts, t-shirts and athletic shoes. CU sports hall of fame -- The Cumberland University Athletic Department will close nominations for the Class of 2010 Sports Hall of Fame later this month. Nominations must be made in writing and include full justification for the nomination, including statistics, honors, awards, and any other pertinent information pertaining to the nominee. Nominations will be accepted through the end of June. A prerequisite for induction into the Sports Hall of Fame is the ability of the nominee to attend the induction dinner. Watertown golf tourney -- The Watertown High School athletic department will hold a benefit golf tournament Saturday, July 10 at Mt. Juliet’s Pine Creek Golf Course. Entry fee for the four-man scramble is $300 per team. Final registration and sign-in is scheduled for 7 a.m. followed by an 8 a.m. shotgun start. AARP golf classic -- The 16th annual Wilson County AARP Golf Classic is scheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 21 at the Hunters Point Golf & Country Course. Entry fee is $60 per player for the 4-person scramble event which includes: cart, lunch, green fees and prizes. Teams will be formed by an A, B, C, D draw. Lebanon Rotary fall ball -- Signups have begun for the fall baseball league. Prospective players should visit lebanonrotarybaseball.com, or visit Sports World Saturday, July 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Deadline to register is Wednesday, July 28. Players must be between 9 - 12 years of age as of April 30, 2011 in order to be eligible. Registration fee is $75.
