Airborne volleyball tryouts --
Airborne volleyball is holding tryouts for girls age 11-18 for the upcoming season. Tryout dates are 2-5 p.m. Oct 20 for girls 14 and under, 5-8 p.m. Oct 27 for girls 15 and older. Interested players should sign up at airbornevbc.net on the Registration page. All the details are there. Tryouts are at Lebanon High.
Lebanon jr. pro basketball --
Final signups for the City of Lebanon’s Junior and Senior Pro Basketball Leagues with be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Harold Dean Greer Recreation Center in Baird Park. Preregistration is currently available during the week at the Recreation Center. The Greer Center is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30-4:30 p.m. -- closed 11-12 for lunch. Parents can also register online at www.lebanoncitysports.com. This program is for boys and girls ages 6 through the eighth grade who live in Wilson County. An applicant must be 6 years of age on or before Aug. 1, 2013 and cannot be past the eighth grade. Children in the seventh or eighth grades who are on a junior high or junior varsity roster are not permitted to participate in this league. Parents should provide copy of their child's birth certificate and a $40 registration fee on the day of sign-ups. For more information, contact Nancy Lee at 449-0303.
Pancake breakfast at CU --
The Cumberland baseball team will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast and Garage Sale on the CU campus from 6 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, Nov. 9. The public is invited to the pancake breakfast at Phillips Dining Hall from 6-10 a.m. Cost is $5 per person and includes pancakes, bacon and sausage, and juice or coffee. The garage sale runs at 6 a.m. until Noon at the Benton Jennings Hitting Facility. A variety of items, including, uniforms and equipment, will be on sale. All proceeds from the event benefit the Bulldog baseball program.
