Lebanon Police continue to investigate a shooting that occurred on Monday night in the 600 block of East Market Street that left two people injured and one facing charges.
The incident occurred in the street in front of 613 East Market Street between 7 and 7:30 p.m., Monday, said Lt. Koy Lafferty of the Lebanon Police Department.
“The scene was in the 600 block of East Market Street where the shooting took place,” he said.
Lafferty said two people were shot. They were identified as Jessie Allen, 21, and Derrius Wilson. They were treated for gunshot wounds and transported to the hospital, one subject by ambulance and the other by personal vehicle.
Although the incident remains under investigation, Lafferty said Wilson will be charged with aggravated assault.
LPD’s crime scene unit responded to the scene. Traffic on East Market Street was blocked for the rest of Monday night as investigators collected evidence, he said, adding multiple rounds were fired.
“We do have other subjects we would like to speak with,” Lafferty said, adding that anyone with information concerning this incident is urged to call Det. Eddie Brown at 443-2323.
