LEBANON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson, 88, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.
Born January 21, 1920, in Wilson County to the late James Albert and Elizabeth Watson McDonald, Mrs. Nelson passed away Sept. 10, 2008 at the Cedars Health Care in Lebanon.
She was a 1941 graduate of Lebanon High School, a homemaker and was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Ligon & Bobo.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Terry Fesler and Rev. John Petree. Interment will follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: sister Dorothy Eddins; brother Floyd (Joyce) McDonald -- all of Lebanon; niece Nelda Ann Thompson and nephews Donald Tomlinson, H. B. McDonald, Norman McDonald and Regan McDoanld.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Nelson; sisters Nanelle Gentry, Edna Lena McDonald, Norene Tomlinson, and an infant sister; brothers Harold and James Albert McDonald.
Pallbearers: Norman, Bo, Regan, H. B. and Jacob McDonald, Donald and Christopher Tomlinson, and Chris Thompson.
