A Lebanon man remains in jail awaiting his next court date after he was arrested and charged with rape of a child.
The suspect, identified as Robert Henry Hicks, 61, of 267 Walnut Way, Lebanon, was arrested by Lebanon Police on Thursday, April 17, reportedly at a residence in the Weatherly Estates community.
Very few details have been released, but it is known that the victim is under 13 years of age and is not related to Hicks.
“I can’t really say a lot about this since it involves a child,” said Police Chief Scott Bowen. “I can say we investigated it and he has been charged.”
Hicks is in the Wilson County Jail under $50,000 bond. He is to appear in court again on May 15.
