Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has obtained an indictment against a Wilson County man accused in connection to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.

At the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents began investigating Travis Lamar Stargill, 38, on Aug. 1, 2012.

During the course of the investigation, agents developed information that on Sept. 4, 2011, the Lebanon man allegedly engaged in sexual relations with a minor female victim who was reportedly being trafficked for sex.

A Wilson County grand jury on May 12 returned an indictment against the suspect, charging him with one count of Aggravated Statutory Rape.

On Wednesday Stargill turned himself into TBI agents at the Wilson County Jail, where he was booked and being held on $25,000 bond.
