Management issues led to firing
Hamilton and General Sessions Judge Barry Tatum said Monday that the termination had been the final decision of Hamilton, although Tatum was in the loop.
She really worked for me and worked with me for so many years. It was something that troubled me. It was management issues. I dont think it would be right for me to specifically say anything more, Hamilton said. TBI has looked into it and we are in the process of an audit. The audit has not shown any money being gone or anything.
The TBI inquiry was done at the request of the 15th Judicial District Attorneys Office.
Ferraro served in the position for more than a decade. A search to fill the position is still underway by the Wilson County Human Resources Department. HR spokesperson Bethany Massey said the search will close on Thursday.
Ferraro ran for public office at least twice in the past, challenging incumbent Circuit Court Clerk Linda Neal.
