Mary Lou Alsup, 86
LEBANON -- A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Alsup, 86, of Nashville and formerly of Lebanon.
A member of College Street Church of Christ, as well as a former employee of TRW's Ross Gear Division, and supervisor for the gift shops in the Opryland Hotel, she died Sunday April 10, 2011 in the Bethany Health Care Center.
Visitation will be held Thursday between the hours of 4-6 p.m. with the memorial Service to follow.
Survivors include: children Harry Loyne (Karen) Alsup, Joseph “Joe” Houston Alsup, Julia Owen Alsup and Mary Jane Alsup.
Also surviving: sister Margaret (James) Craigwall; grandchildren Clayton Houston Alsup and Alexis Nicole Alsup; cousins Dorothy Williams Thompson and Louise Williams Thompson;
Mrs. Alsup is preceded in death by her biological parents, Houston & Lela Sellers Lannom, the loving couple who raised her Dueward & Floettie McKee Williams; husband Harry L. “Chick” Alsup Sr.; brother Orvie Lannom and cousin Ethel Williams Craddock.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be make in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Bill Wilkerson Speech & Hearing Center, Bethany Health Care Center, or the Ronald McDonald House.
