Millworks Theatre sets production on June 2

The Mill at Lebanon announces the addition of Millworks Theatre to the roster of businesses housed at The Mill.

Millworks Theatre will begin production on June 2 and will provide a variety of entertainment experiences to Middle Tennessee six days a week. Tuesday through Saturday afternoons, Millworks Theatre will perform and serve lunch for Bus Tour Businesses and Senior Groups. Thursday through Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees will be dedicated to more traditional theatre fare along with dinner. On Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, a rotating schedule of other entertainment will be presented which might include Bluegrass groups, Gospel and Country artists, Jazz musicians, standup comedy and improv, Cabaret performers, Murder Mystery evenings and more.

Millworks Entertainment Group, Inc., parent company of Millworks Theatre, is headed by Kevin F. Raymond who has been in the entertainment business for more than 20 years. Raymond is also the president/CEO and executive producer of Phoenix Rising Entertainment, Inc., a Nashville-based entertainment production company, producing and packaging revue shows for cruise ships, theme parks, resorts and conventions.

Raymond has produced over 80 revue shows in the course of the past 20 years in his position at the helm of three different entertainment production companies. He is an Ohio native and earned a BM in Music Education from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Involved in music and theatre through most of his early years, after graduation he originally moved to Nashville to work at Opryland USA. While singing and dancing there for four years, he appeared in "For Me And My Gal" and "Music, Music, Music!" At Opryland, he acquired a long list of credits and working for two years with recording star Brenda Lee.

Keith F. Hardy is the artistic director for Millworks Theatre. Like Raymond, Hardy has more than 25 years experience in all aspects of dinner theatre, children's and musical theatre, costuming, functioning as technical director, performing and producing. He is a graduate of Lipscomb University with a B.A. in Speech Communications. He was the theatre director for David Lipscomb High school and has credits with Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre, Tennessee Repertory Theater, Nashville Ballet and Nashville Shakespeare Festival.

In total, the nine-member directing board of Millworks Entertainment Group, Inc. brings more than 125 years of professional theatre experience to The Mill at Lebanon and Middle Tennessee.
