The win pushed Mt. Juliet to 13-6 overall and 6-0 in District 9AAA. The Lady Wildcats dropped to 17-6 on the season and 3-4 in league play.

Morris struck out five, walked one and hit a batter.

First baseman Amy Buwalda ripped an RBI double in the top of the first for the Lady Bears and finished with a pair of hits. Merrick Martin added a two-run triple in the fourth inning and Hannah Irwin contributed two singles.

Sydney Ketcher and Savanna Bell had the only two hits for Wilson Central.

MJHS plays at LaVergne High Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. while Wilson Central returns to action Thursday with a 4 p.m. game at Hendersonville.

WATERTOWN 9, WESTMORELAND 0 – Sarah Reeder threw a three-hitter and struck out 13 Tuesday as Watertown swamped Westmoreland 9-0 at Three Forks Park.

The Tigerettes improved to 9-8 overall and 2-2 in District 8A with the victory.

Britney Trusty led the offense with three RBI, including a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Amelia Patterson chipped in with a 3-for-3 day while Sara Patchen contributed a triple and a single.

Watertown visits Class AAA Centennial High Wednesday in a 5 p.m. contest.

BLACKMAN 15, LHS 5 – The Lady Blaze ripped 20 base hits Tuesday in a 15-5 victory over Lebanon at Baird Park.

LHS dropped to 5-15 overall and 2-7 in District 7AAA.

Jordan Freeman had a three-run triple in the second inning for the Devilettes.

The Blue Devil Booster Club invites the public to attend the LHS softball game Thursday in the Baird Park Complex -- directly behind Southside Baptist Church.

The Devilettes will take on District 7AAA rival White County High in a 7 p.m. contest. The BDBC will keep up with how many LHS students are at the game and will give the softball team $1 for each student present.

Students will be admitted into the game for free.

FRIENDSHIP CHRISTIAN's softball team will host Class AAA Clarksville Rossview Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Commanders improved to 18-5 on the season Monday with a 3-0 victory at Clarksville Academy.

Hailey Rutledge threw a complete game two-hitter, striking out 12 with one walk.

Rutledge helped her own cause with an RBI single in a three-run third inning. Lindsay Farmer added an RBI single.

Friendship Christian will return to District 8A play Friday afternoon as the Lady Commanders travel to Hartsville for a 5 p.m. game with Trousdale County High.
