Services have been set for a Mt. Juliet man who was killed in a plane crash Saturday, in Illinois.
James Michael Bowers, 46, was flying and single engine 1941 Luscombe plane to an experimental aircraft show in Oshkosh, Wis., when it reportedly crashed into a field in Wabash County, Ill. He was the only person on the plane and was killed instantly.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate to determine a cause of the crash.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 29 at Woodbine Funeral Home in Nashville.
Bowers worked for Nashville Electric Service and was working to become an electrical engineer.
