What? Sorry, I dont know how to do that. she relayed.

(Mind you, this is the same teen-ager who has programmed all our remotes, connected my cell phone to my blue tooth in my car and helps her Dad buy apps on his I-pad)

Begging her was getting me nowhere.

And demanding she invite me was quite demeaning.

But, finally, one day, out of nowhere, my friend Elizabeth Scruggs sent me an invite and I was IN!

So, the website, for those of you not in this privileged circle is www.pinterest.com. There you will find that Pinterest is an online community of people who post all sorts of photos and links to recipes, clothes, gardening tips, vacation spots, dream homes and the list goes on and on.

Invited members go onto the site and if you see a photo you like, you PIN it to your board.

For example, there will be a picture of a chocolate lava cake with a link to the website that has the recipe for it. One day, (probably in a million years) I will want to make this cake and so I pin it to my board for future reference.

Or there is a picture of the most fabulous pool. I can pin it to my board and one day (another million years) when I build my multi-million dream home overlooking the Pacific Ocean, I will have a photo of the three-tiered pool to show my contactor.

By the way I have 159 pins.

But thus far, I have used ZERO items I have pinned. Yet, hope springs eternal and each day I pin something else to my board.

(Becky calls it my wish board. But FYI, Becky has yet to be invited!)

So, the other evening as I was perusing Pinterest, my husband asked me what I was doing.

And I showed him the mystery of Pinterest.

Oh, I get it. he said Its kind of like when you watch all those cooking shows but dont actually cook anything.

And BINGOhe pinned it!
