There is no shortage of action on tap Friday in local high school baseball. Watertown will host Jackson County High in a 6:30 p.m. game at Three Forks Park. The Purple Tigers improved to 7-10 overall (6-3 in District 8A) with an 8-5 win at Trousdale County earlier this week. Lebanon High welcomes Cookeville in a 6:30 p.m. District 7AAA battle at Veterans Field. The Blue Devils slumped to 19-13 overall (4-8) with a 9-2 home loss to Warren County Tuesday night. Mt. Juliet entertains Gallatin Friday at 7 p.m. The Golden Bears fell to 22-6 (7-3) with a 10-7 home loss to Hendersonville Tuesday, despite four runs batted in from Tyler Carr. Wilson Central 13-14 overall, (4-4) plays at Beech High Friday at 6 p.m. and will entertain the Bucs Saturday in Galdeville. Friendship Christian School (17-6) is idle until a Monday, April 28 home game with Ezell-Harding. The Commanders lost a 5-0 decision at Beech High Wednesday at Shackle Island.
