MT. JULIET – Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, April 27 at the Bond Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Zumbro, 82, of Mt. Juliet.

A member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ where she worked as secretary for over 25 years, Mrs. Zumbro died April 25, 2008.

She formerly worked for the US Coast Guard in Washington, DC and later for Seward Air Force Base.

The daughter of the late Harvey and Nell Hamilton Denson, Mrs. Zumbro was a member and secretary of the Beekeepers Association of Mt. Juliet and a member of the Mt. Julie / West Wilson Historical Society.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Leslie Denson.

Services were conducted by Brother David Shannon and Pastor Don Brown. Interment was private.

Survivors include: husband Jackson Zumbro, son Mark (Kayla) Zumbro, grandchildren Jason and Jake Zumbro, four  nieces and three nephews.

Active pallbearers included: Mark Zumbro, Jason Zumbro, Preston Lay, John Thomas, Randel Henry and Dwayne Griffin.
