Lebanon High’s softball team will take on No. 2-seeded Blackman High Friday at 6 p.m. in the first round of the District 7AAA tournament set for Siegel High in Rutherford County. LHS fell to 8-21 overall and 3-11 in District 7AAA Monday evening with a 5-2 loss at Blackman. Kathryn Ludwikowski hit a two-run homer in the top of the first to score Mallory Mason, who had reached on a single, for Lebanon’s only runs. Hannah Brockett and Kelsey Blackburn added singles for LHS. Lebanon is the No. 7 seed in the tournament. Other first round games Friday include: No. 1 Riverdale vs. No. 8 White County at 2 p.m.; No. 4 Siegel (host) vs. No. 5 Cookeville at 4 p.m. and No. 3 Oakland vs. No. 6 Warren County at 8 p.m. The Riverdale – White County winner will play the winner of Siegel – Cookeville Saturday at 4 p.m. The winner of Blackman – LHS will play the winner of Oakland – Warren County Saturday at 6 p.m. Elimination games are set for 12 Noon and 2 p.m. Saturday. Sunday is a scheduled off day with three games planned Monday, two on Tuesday and the finals on Wednesday. |
