LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, May 1 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Davis, 68, of Lebanon. Retired from DuPont as a supervisor and a veteran of the US Army, Mr. Davis died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the University Medical Center. The son of the late Charles Rhea and Callie Morris Davis, he was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a 1958 graduate of Lebanon High School. Funeral services were conducted by Brother Joe Vickers with interment at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: daughters Dana Davis of Old Hickory and Denise (Jay) Collins of Jacksonville, Fla. Also surviving is brother Herb (Evelyn) Davis of Lebanon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Fostene Davis and brother Charles Rhea Davis, Jr. Active pallbearers: Herb Davis, Adam Davis, John Vardell, Bob Brumbrach, Robert Jenkins, Tommy Meadors, Chuck Miller and James Denney. Honorary pallbearers, the Lebanon High School Class of 1958, Zach Martin, Ray Flanagan, Thomas Davis, Nicholas and Justin Dillard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. |
