WATERTOWN – Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, April 26 at the Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. King, 88, of the Statesville Community.

A native of Wilson County and the daughter of the late George Robert and Carrie Naomi Dedman Barnett, Mrs. King died April 24, 2008 at Lebanon’s University Medical Center.

Services were conducted by the Rev. James G. Williams with burial at the Jennings Cemetery.

Survivors include: children Betty Jo Wilee and Robert Dale (Cathy) King – all of Lebanon, Carolyn Sue Eakes of Watertown and Deborah Lynn (Gary) Tarpley of Statesville.

Also surviving are daughters-in-law for Sandra King, Donna Jean, Brenda and Joan Cunningham; siblings George Clifton (Pearl) Barnett and Thelma Jean (Harold) Guy as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by husband Claude Thomas King, children Mary Linda Cunningham, Roy Donald Cuningham and Claude Thomas King; sons- in-law Bob Wilee and Gary Eakes; granddaughter Pamela Kay White; infant grandsons Michael Lynn Tarpley and Christopher Michael Eakes; stepfather Frank Harden and siblings: Dorothy Grice, Gladys Wright, Ed Barnett, Jimmy, Roy and Frank Harden, Jr.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
