LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, May 4 at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church for Mr. Evans, 81, of Lebanon. Known as "Bill to his family and friends, Mr. Evans was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church and was a union carpenter for some 44 years. He died Friday, May 2 at University Medical Center. Services were conducted by Brother John Petree with interment following at the Jackson Cemetery. Survivors include: children Ron (Mary) Evans, James "Jimmy" Pascal (Lisa) Evans, Billy (Jen) Evans, Tim Evans, Brenda (Bill) Merrick and Anita (Rickey) Jackson. Also surviving are siblings Kenneth (Irene) Evans, Martha Sprinkle, Ina Bell Cooper and Bess Parker; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents James Clyde and Lola Bell Evans; his wife of 63 years Virginia Catherine Evans; brother A.J. Evans and brother-in-law Otto Sprinkle. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. |
