MT. JULIET - Private funeral services are planned for Captain Earle Douglas Partridge of Hermitage.
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Capt. Partridge died April 1, 2008.
Capt. Partridge served 24 years in the United States Air Force and earned his pilot’s wings and commission at Dothan, Alabama.
Following service in the Air Transport Command, he was assigned to Karachi, India serving as Operations Officer.
After his military service, he joined the Federal Aviation Administration and retired as supervisor, Flight Service Station, Nashville.
Services will be conducted by Reverend Dan Dozier. Entombment at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife Ruth Brasfield Partridge of Hermitage and by sons: Earle Douglas Partridge II of Benton, Arkansas, Kenneth Lynn Partridge of Mt. Juliet, twins Stephen Hunter Partridge of Clarksville and Stanley Hope Partridge of Harrison, Arkansas and Brian Holladay Partridge of Alexandria.
Also surviving are sisters Marguerite (Pete) Nadeau of Chester, Vermont and Mary Woodcock of Claremont, New Hampshire as well as seven grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents William H. Partridge and Jeanie Hunter Partridge and by his sister Jeanie Hunsdon.
