To the Editor: I had the opportunity to visit the Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro on Thursday, Dec. 17 with J.C. Satterfield, director of Veterans Services in Wilson County, and his secretary, Carol Dedman. Mr. Satterfield presented Joella Bensore, volunteer service specialist, a check for supplies and presents for veterans who have no family for Christmas. Mr. Satterfield presented Joella Bensore, volunteer service specialist, a check for supplies and presents for veterans who have no family for Christmas. Holding back all of my emotions was the hardest thing, but I made it without looking like a sissy. It made me realize the importance these veterans and future veterans play in everyone’s life, day to day, hour to hour. Thanks to the people who donated for this special cause. My Christmas wish is that everyone please remember our veterans and what they have done for our families.
