By JENNIFER HORTON Many of you were unable to access The Wilson Post’s website this weekend to check on the unfolding weather situation and flooding in our area, and for that we would like to apologize. You were not alone, however, as no one on the newspaper’s staff could access it, either. By JENNIFER HORTON Many of you were unable to access The Wilson Post’s website this weekend to check on the unfolding weather situation and flooding in our area, and for that we would like to apologize. You were not alone, however, as no one on the newspaper’s staff could access it, either. Peter Beare of Bearewear, our web master, informed us on Monday that The Post’s server, which is at another location, was attacked this weekend by hackers. The problem was resolved late Sunday night, and The Post’s website at www.wilsonpost.com is back up and running. We continue to work to resolve our web issues and appreciate your patience and continuing support. Again, we apologize to our readers for any inconvenience caused by the web outage. |
