Due to an exhausted City of Lebanon budget there will not be a fireworks show in Lebanon this year.

It’s an effort by local government to try and pinch a dollar or two or as in past fireworks exhibits perhaps as much as several thousand dollars.

However, that’s not the case in Watertown where fireworks are to follow a parade and political rally. By Sam Hatcher

The folksy little community in southeast Wilson County will have its annual July 4th parade this year on Saturday, July 3, because the holiday falls on Sunday. This is usually a spectacular event. The parade begins at 6 p.m. Participants in the parade should note that the parade lineup begins at 5 p.m. at the Elementary School.

Following the parade there will be a political rally from 7 to 8 p.m. on the Public Square followed by a fireworks show at approximately 9 o’clock at Three Forks Community Park.

And in Mt. Juliet, there will be a fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m., Sunday, July 4, at Providence MarketPlace.

Train sold out

The Music City Star has already recorded a sellout for the July 4th special train to Riverfront Park.

The fireworks show in Nashville is regarded as among the best in the U.S.

There will be some 900 passengers riding the Music City Star spread across seven cars as the train makes its way from Lebanon to Nashville.
