Fall is in full swing…

By ANGEL KANE

Next Wednesday, September 22nd, marks the first day of Autumn and if you were out and about this past weekend, you know that fall is in full swing in Middle Tennessee. And there is no better place to celebrate the fall than outdoors!

This weekend there are many events that will keep you busy- enjoying both the weather as well as your neighbors.

On September 18th, make sure to head to Gladeville for the 8th annual Gladefest. If you haven’t attended before, then you are missing out! The whole town is alive with antique car and tractor shows, live entertainment, a washer pitchin’ contest, inflatables, arts and crafts, fish frys and the famous Gladeville Elementary Fall Festival.

It’s a fantastic way to spend the day catching up with old friends and making new ones. Admission is free and the event is held from 9 until 2. For more information you can contact 443-6522 or go to www.wilsonbank.com

And then after this event, you will want to head out to the Cedars of Lebanon for the Ole Time Farm Festival. The event is held on Saturday from 9 until 6 and then again Sunday from 1 until 6. On hand will be homemade gifts for sale, farm antiques, livestock, entertainment and food. For more information you can contact 286-1390 or go to www.friendsofcedarsoflebanon.com.

Of course, if you have time you are also going to want to head to Mt. Juliet for the 2nd annual Fall Community Yard Sale at Charlie Daniels Park. Several booths are on hand with something for everyone. For more information about this event you can call 758-6522.

We hope to see all of you this weekend, out and about enjoying all the wonderful happenings going on in our back yard of Wilson County.

Until next time, keep reading!
