From Post staff reports
Two young mothers, both professionals, found themselves with some extra time on their hands some three years ago and decided to do something fun.

They approached The Wilson Post about writing a weekly column about their life experiences, and in turn, the lives of hundreds perhaps thousands of other working moms like them. The results have been amazing.

The two columnists, Becky Andrews and Angel Kane, have become a weekly favorite in Wilson County’s leading community newspaper, and their column was the foundation for developing a now very popular lifestyle magazine, Wilson Living.  But wait, there’s more.

Now the inventors of “Telling Tales” are publishing their first book that is to go on sale this weekend at the Wilson Living Expo.

The initial book, which they believe will be a first in a series, captures what the writers call “50 of their favorite articles.”

The idea of publishing a book, according to both columnists, came from their loyal audience of readers.

Kane, a Lebanon attorney, and Andrews, who now has full-time duties with Wilson Living Magazine but was previously a real estate professional, say their columns are constructed weekly around the everyday lives of both men and women who do the same chores each week.

They write about experiences at the grocery, about getting their kids dressed and to school on time, about conflicts in schedules, about fitting in work obligations with social commitments and many other subjects that try the nerves and stress levels of their readers each week.

“We get emails from an equal amount of women and men,” Kane said about those who are reading their columns.

While the first copies of their new book will go on sale at the Expo this weekend at The Mill at Lebanon, other local businesses will also be carrying their book after the Expo.

The book will also be available on Amazon.com and will be available for digital download on the retailer’s e-reader, the Kindle.

The Wilson Living Expo is to be held at The Mill at Lebanon this Friday and Saturday.
