Former Lebanon High quarterback Daley Sallis will sign an NCAA National Letter of Intent early Monday morning with Rhodes College in Memphis.
An NCAA Division III institution, Rhodes is losing two quarterbacks to graduation and is looking to load up at the position. Sallis, considered the inspirational leader of the Blue Devil football program, battled shoulder injuries all season while leading LHS to the first round of the TSSAA playoffs. Mt. Juliet High's sharp-shooting guard Taylor Hall will sign scholarship papers Monday afternoon with Roane State Community College. Hall missed most of her junior year due to to a ruptured ACL, only to hurt the other knee as a senior, forcing her to miss nearly three weeks of her final season. Postponing surgery, Hall played our her final year of eligibility with a brace and was one of the more deadly long-range shooters in Middle Tennessee. "Taylor is a smart, gutty player," said MJ head coach Chris Fryer. "I don't know of a tougher young lady. She'll get a chance to play at a higher level in a couple of years." |
