Wilson County Community Partnership is trying to make difference in the lives of the inner-city and underprivileged youth in Wilson County.  

To that end, they have planned a special day for Saturday, June 13, called CommUnity Fest. It will be held at Head Homes Park, 600 C. L. Manier Street, behind the Lebanon Church of God, from 2-6 p.m.

The CommUnity Fest is planned each year to meet two different needs for the children.

Wilson County Community Partnership is trying to make difference in the lives of the inner-city and underprivileged youth in Wilson County.  

To that end, they have planned a special day for Saturday, June 13, called CommUnity Fest. It will be held at Head Homes Park, 600 C. L. Manier Street, behind the Lebanon Church of God, from 2-6 p.m.

The CommUnity Fest is planned each year to meet two different needs for the children.

First, WCCP plans to give the children a fun day. There will be free food and drinks, music, prizes, games, inflatables and interesting things to see.

The event will feature a former Titan football player meeting the children.

Lebanon Fire Department will be on hand to hose down those who wish to escape from the heat or just play in the water.

Second, WCCP plans to provide information about services available to the children and their families.

There will be booths and exhibits from agencies such as Books from Birth, Habitat for Humanity, Department of Children's Services, Head Start, HomeSafe, BACA, Mid-Cumberland Mental Health, CASA, and many other groups who have a heart for serving children. Everything is free to the children and their families.
 
Other agencies or businesses which would like to partner with WCCP for the CommUnity Fest are welcome to come and set up a booth to let people know they wish to be of service.  It is suggested that the groups give away free samples or prizes.

Businesses which don’t want to set up a booth can help in other ways.

WCCP needs prizes to give away throughout the day, money to cover operating expenses, and food or drinks to be given away

Particularly needed are tents to provide shelter and seating for people. A large number of older people also attend the event, and they need places to sit.
 
The WCCP is a 501(c)3 public charity, so all contributions are tax deductible.
