By CONNIE ESH Lebanon is expecting not one, but three new hotel chains to break ground some time this summer. The first, Candlewood Suites, has property near the new Hampton Inn just off Hartmann Drive. Candlewood Suites has already passed Lebanon Planning Commission and has been given the go-ahead to start building. The new LaQuinta Inn and Staybridge Inn will be located on Highway 231 South near the Prime Outlets-Lebanon Mall. Representatives of both hotels are currently working with planners to have their plans approved. “This is very good news for Lebanon,” said City Liaison Sue Akins Siens Thursday afternoon. She said it meant that Lebanon is clearly a tourism destination. Siens also said some other hotel chains have been inquiring about locating in and near the city. The construction, as well as the staffing of the hotels, will mean new jobs in Lebanon, she added. Staff Writer Connie Esh may be contacted at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
