By JENNIFER HORTON A two-car collision Sunday night in southwest Wilson County killed one person and injured another. Nancy C. Locke, 62, of Mt. Juliet, was a passenger in a vehicle driving by Ronald S. Locke Jr., 39, also of Mt. Juliet. Both were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where Mrs. Locke died as a result of her injuries, said Mike Browning, director of communications for the Tennessee Department of Safety. The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stewarts Ferry Pike and Harkreader Road. Browning said a vehicle, a 2002 Mercury Sable, driven by Aaron R. Kik, 20, of Mt. Juliet, stopped on Harkreader Road and turned left onto Stewarts Ferry Pike striking the vehicle driven by Mr. Locke, a 1986 Chevrolet Cavalier, with Mrs. Locke as the passenger. Browning said Kik was issued a citation for failure to yield. No criminal charges have been filed, he added. Kik was wearing a seat belt, and it was unknown if the passenger in his vehicle, Katie D. Hayes, 19, was wearing one. Kik and Hayes were not injured. Neither Locke was wearing a seat belt, Browning said. The accident was investigated by Sgt. Steven Lowery of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home. Services are 10 a.m., Thursday, with burial to follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
