Walker indicted on theft from Gladeville Utility

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested the former general manager of the Gladeville Water Utility District after he was indicted Wednesday by the Wilson County Grand Jury on numerous counts of theft for stealing from the utility company in 2007.

William Clifford Walker, 57, 208 Burgess Road, Mt. Juliet, TN was charged with two counts of Theft Over $60,000, eight counts of Theft Over $10,000 and one count of Official Misconduct.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested the former general manager of the Gladeville Water Utility District after he was indicted Wednesday by the Wilson County Grand Jury on numerous counts of theft for stealing from the utility company in 2007.

William Clifford Walker, 57, 208 Burgess Road, Mt. Juliet, TN was charged with two counts of Theft Over $60,000, eight counts of Theft Over $10,000 and one count of Official Misconduct.

An audit finding showed improper money being given to Walker from June 2006 to May 2008 totaling more than $300,000. He paid himself for unused sick leave, excess vacation upon retirement and several raises over the course of two years.

Walker was booked into the Wilson County Jail on a $5000 bond.
