By JENNIFER HORTON A collision involving a vehicle and a tanker truck on Highway 231 North in Wilson County on Tuesday afternoon resulted in the death of at least one person. “It was a confirmed fatality,” said Mike Browning, public information officer with the Tennessee Department of Safety. Browning said as of Wednesday morning he had not received any additional information regarding the accident but hoped to have more later in the day. At least one other person was reportedly injured in the accident. LifeFlight helicopter was called to transport the two individuals to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The roadway was shut down by officers. Browning said Tuesday that the tanker truck did not leak but was “in a ditch near a creek.” Check www.wilsonpost.com later today for more information as it becomes available.
