From Post staff reports

City of Lebanon Public Works Department would like to remind all citizens of the new schedule for the residential chipper service program.

Commissioner of Public Works Jeff Baines said he wanted citizens to be sure that they know about the new schedule and reminded of some older rules.

The city has been divided into two pickup zones. Each zone has its own pickup schedule.

Zone 1 includes areas that were previously picked up on Monday and Tuesday routes. Zone 1 service will begin on the first Monday of each month.

Citizens in Zone 1 will need to place all trimmings, limbs, bagged grass clippings and bagged leaves out by 7 a.m. on the first Monday. City crews will make one run through the zone so please have all items out by the first Monday morning.

Zone 2 includes areas that were previously picked up on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday routes. Zone 2 service will begin on the third Monday of each month.

Citizens in Zone 2 will need to place all trimmings, limbs, bagged grass clippings and bagged leaves out by 7 a.m. on the third Monday. City crews will make one run through the zone so please have all items out by the third Monday morning.

Baines asks that citizens remember that the chipper service is provided for disposal of limbs, brush and leaves as related to the resident’s routine and normal maintenance of trees, bushes and shrubs upon resident’s property. A residence is a house or duplex.

Limbs should not exceed six inches in diameter. Limbs larger than 6 inches in diameter will not be picked up.
