‘Hits for the House’ brings Gill, Grant to Lebanon

Songwriters Spotlight will present a concert featuring Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Even Stevens and Leslie Satcher in a special event called “Hits for the House,” the proceeds of which will benefit Brooks House.

The concert will be held Saturday, April 21, at Winfree-Bryant Middle School in the Auditorium, located at 1213 Leeville Pike, Lebanon. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will get under way at 7. Limited tickets for the event are available by calling 466-5480.

With millions of fans, Vince Gill is a country music superstar. The singer, songwriter, producer and musician has 20 Grammy Awards and 18 CMA Awards. His mega hits include “When I Call Your Name,” “Never Knew Lonely” and “Look At Us,” to name a few. He will be joined by his wife, Amy Grant, a six-time Grammy Award winner. Among some of her hits are “Baby Baby,” “Every Heartbeat,” “That’s What Love Is For” and “House of Love.”

Even Stevens is part of songwriter royalty with 53 BMI Awards. Among the hit songs he’s written are “When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman,” “I Love a Rainy Night” and “Drivin’ My Life Away.”

Rounding out this group is Leslie Satcher, also a Grammy Award winner for Best County Album of the Year with George Strait’s “Troubadour.” She has written dozens of hit songs including “When God-Fearin’ Women Get the Blues” and “For These Times.” She is also one of the most talented performers to see live, a spokesperson for the event said.

“We are so excited to have these star artists and entertainers come to Wilson County for the ‘Hits for the House’ event,” said Liz Reese, director of Brooks House. “At Brooks House we are dedicated to helping homeless women and children. This fantastic fundraiser will allow us to raise the needed funds to offer a home for the hopeful.”

The venue features two seating opportunities with ticket prices ranging from $60 and preferred seating $100 per person. Tickets are available through the local Pinnacle Bank by calling 466-5480.
