Frost...and possibly freezing temperatures are expected in the Mid-State Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. Precautions should be taken on those two mornings to protect tender vegetation, as a cold Canadian high pressure system spreads over the area out of Central Canada.

The best chance for freezing temperatures Wednesday morning will be in some of the colder valleys along the Cumberland Plateau. The coldest weather, however, is expected to be on Thursday morning when temperatures could dip to the freezing mark for an hour or two shortly before sunrise over the Cumberland Plateau -- as well as in low lying areas west of the plateau.
