| Driver service center to close temporarily, reopen in new location |

Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security announced the Wilson County Driver Service Center located at 725 Elkins Drive in Lebanon, will temporarily close on Friday, July 13 and Monday, July 16, and will reopen for normal business hours at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, in its new location at 204 Maddo- Simpson Pkwy., also in Lebanon. The newly-constructed facility replaces the modular driver service center that has served Wilson County for the past 25 years. The new driver service center will also house Tennessee Highway Patrol personnel assigned to Wilson County. “Improving customer service and reducing wait times at our driver service centers are top priorities of this department. This new driver service center replaces a space that was never intended to be permanent. It will help us better serve the citizens of Wilson County,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons said.During the closure, local customers other full service driver service centers in Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, and Williamson Counties.
