Authorities are searching for two suspects involved in a reported robbery in the Kroger parking lot in Lebanon late Tuesday night.

According to the Lebanon Police Chief Scott Bowen, officers responded to a robbery call at Kroger at 1418 West Main Street, shortly after 11 p.m., Tuesday. A female shopper informed officers she was loading groceries into her truck when a white female with blond hair, approached her from behind and demanded her purse.

As the suspect grabbed the shopper’s purse and attempted to flee, the victim reportedly fought back and in the struggle, the suspect managed to get the purse away from the victim.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark colored four-door sedan with tinted windows, which pulled up beside the women as they were struggling. A white male accomplice was reportedly driving the vehicle.

“Fortunately the victim in this case was not seriously injured and the entire event was captured on the store’s video surveillance,” Bowen said.

Police are asking for anyone with information about this crime to contact the department at 444-2323.
