By SABRINA GARRETT Wilson Emergency Management Agency Planner Steve Spencer said that he believes an EF0 tornado caused structural damage at two Statesville locations on Monday. “We had a tornado warning from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. and there was damage reported in Statesville on Knights Creek Road and also on Greenvale Road,” he said. “On Knights Creek it moved a vacant doublewide trailer about 10 feet off its foundation and the owner had three outbuildings (sheds) that were completely destroyed,” he said.On Greenvale Road, it lifted what Spencer described as a “pole barn” off of the equipment it was covering and placed it behind the structure. “It didn’t damage the equipment or the resident’s house,” he added. “Other than that, it was just tree limbs down.” Timberline Campground in Lebanon experienced some flooding, but employee Amber Jackson said that no campers were damaged. Spencer said folks can expect more rainy weather this Saturday, but so far, no severe weather is in sight.
