By SABRINA GARRETT Everyone is invited to have a frighteningly good time at the inaugural Boo Fest to be held rain or shine on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Providence Commons in Mt. Juliet. The event will feature fun and games for all ages – including bounce houses, corn hole, face painting, treats and a costume contest for families and even their four-legged companions. The costume contest will be from 2 until 3:15 p.m. and will be for those ages 0-2 years, 3-8 years, 9-13 years and 14 and up. Coordinator Sandra Locklear, of The Party Zone in Providence Commons, said several shop owners designed the event to bring awareness to the shopping center which is located on South Mt. Juliet Road on the left, just past Providence MarketPlace. “Providence Commons is not very busy right now. The businesses were trying to pull something together as soon as possible and Halloween is a great time,” Locklear said. “Everybody is getting really excited. We are hoping that it will get to be an annual event.” Treats will be available at all booths, and McDonald’s Hamburglar will be on hand, also. Fadd’s Entertainment and Diamond Academy of Dance will be performing. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and is free to the public. It is sponsored by Publix, Summit Walk-In Clinic, Angel Stop and Play, Holiday Inn Express, Southeastern Dental, Subway, Mt. Juliet/West Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, Precision Eye Care, Wilson Bank & Trust, Peachwave Yogurt, First Freedom Bank, Diamond Academy of Dance, Jonathan’s Grille, McDonald’s, The Party Zone, Farm Bureau, Nails 1st and Fadds Entertainment. Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter will also be bringing some of their animals to the event that are available for adoption.
