Lebanon Police Department detectives arrested two individuals on Tuesday believed to be responsible for a robbery that occurred in the parking lot at the Kroger grocery store in July. The suspects were identified as James Mitchell Plumlee, 25, and Martha Inez Goucher, 33, of Hendersonville. They were arrested earlier on Tuesday morning in Hendersonville and have been charged with robbery. Chief Scott Bowen said LPD responded to a call reporting a robbery at the Kroger parking lot at 1418 West Main Street at about 9:12 p.m., July 17. A female shopper was loading her groceries into her truck when she was approached from behind by a younger white female with long blonde hair. The suspect told the victim to give up her purse or she would be harmed. As the suspect grabbed the purse and tried to get away, the victim fought back and a struggle took place. The suspect managed to get the purse away from the victim and got into a vehicle that pulled up beside them as they were struggling. The victim was pulled to the ground while trying to hold on to the purse as the vehicle sped away. Plumlee and Goucher remain in the Wilson County Jail under $10,000 bond each. |
