|Pody to Honor Veterans and Fallen Warriors in Special Ceremony|
|Thursday, November 8, 2012|
Representative Mark Pody (R—Lebanon) will take part in a special ceremony on Veterans Day this coming Sunday.
The Tennessee Four Points of the Compass March will commemorate the fourth year of the Fallen Soldiers March—a 30 mile trek of four routes that all unite in Lebanon’s Tennessee Square. Once concluded, supporters gather to honor our fallen warriors and veterans, pray, share stories, and further the mission of the organization.
As a tribute, Rep. Pody has contributed four American flags flown over the Tennessee Capitol in honor of the four individuals killed in the terrorist attack on American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. Those four are:
Glen Doherty, retired Navy SEAL
Tyrone Woods, retired Navy SEAL
Sean Smith, U.S. Foreign Information Management Officer
Christopher Stevens, U.S. Ambassador to Libya
“Veterans Day is a special occasion where we all should take time to thank those who have served and honor those who gave their all,” stated Pody. “These flags represent just a small token of my appreciation for the bravery and courage of Americans who serve on the front lines. We are all deeply in debt to those who serve this nation.”
The event will take place at 5pm on Veterans Day—Sunday, November 11th in downtown Lebanon.
