Windows installed at Immanuel

Workers install one of 16 stained glass windows at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon this week. The windows in the lower part of the sanctuary tell the life of Christ from His birth to His death and resurrection. The remodeling work began Monday and was completed on
Thursday.

Rotaries collect dictionaries for 3rd graders

The Rotary Clubs in Wilson County collected dictionaries to distribute to third graders in the county. Rotary Clubs across the nation participated in this effort. Pavilion celebrates ribbon cutting

Members of the Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and owners of The Pavilion cut the ribbon for the new long-term care facility on Thursday. It is located behind UMC on Babb Drive. The Pavilion has two wings; one wing for more long-term care and one wing for more of a transitional care center for post-operation and stroke recovery.

LHS canned food drive

Lebanon High School student body is looking to repeat as champion of the The “Food 2 Families 2009 High School Challenge” sponsored by WKRN News2.

Organized at LHS by the Student Government Association, the annual event collects canned food, non-perishable food items (such as peanut butter) as well as cash with all proceeds being donated to the Wilson County Help Center.

Lebanon native to take reins in Memphis next week

Last week Tennessee’s largest city elected a new mayor.
       
He is the first new mayor of Memphis in almost two decades.
      
And the new mayor, who is expected to be officially sworn into office next week, is from Lebanon.
