Reward in horse shooting grows |

By BEN DUDLEY The Wilson Post The reward for information on whoever is responsible for the shooting of a young girl’s horse three weeks ago has now grown to a possible $3,500. Chief Larry Bowman with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department said that a man, who wishes to remain anonymous, called in and offered $500 in addition to the amount given by Wilson County Crime Stoppers. The maximum reward given by Crime Stoppers is $1,000, but a board decides exactly how much to award for the information. |

Wilson agencies tab highway safety grants |

Gov. Phil Bredesen today awarded more than $17.8 million in highway safety grants to 245 agencies across Tennessee including two in Wilson County. Wilson County Sheriff’s Department is to receive a grant of $100,649 to support year two of its “Operation Impact” program, and Watertown Police Department is to receive a grant of $5,000 to support high visibility law enforcement campaigns. |

Weather moves ‘Taste of Wilson County’ to The Mill |

The location of the first ever “Taste of Wilson County” set for Thursday, Oct. 15 has been changed due to weather conditions. The event will instead be held at The Mill at Lebanon, 300 North Maple Street, Lebanon. Rain is in the forecast for most of Thursday, and as a result, organizers decided it would be best to move the event indoors. |

Wilson County Health Department will offer H1N1 FluMist® vaccine clinic on Friday, Oct. 16 at the Lebanon Clinic at 927 East Baddour Pkwy., Lebanon, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to receive the vaccine. The H1N1 flu vaccine will be provided at no charge. |
