Nashville Superspeedway will host two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Nationwide Series
doubleheaders in 2011. The Gladeville track will hold races on April 22-23 and July 22-23 in 2011.
This marks the first time in the track’s history that it will have two doubleheaders. Three of the four races — the April 22 and July 22 truck race as well as the July 23 Nationwide race. The April 23 Nationwide race will be an afternoon event.
“We’re excited to be able to team up the summer NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races that we’ve hosted and give fans a two-day race weekend next July,” said Cliff Hawks, vice president and general manager of Nashville Superspeedway.
“Combined events add to the overall fan experience. We also hope that this new schedule entices some of the big names in the sport to continue to come to Nashville much like we saw with our April race weekend in years past.”
Both race doubleheaders fall on off weekends for the Sprint Cup series.
