The Nationals will play Saturday at 11 a.m. with the winner advancing to play the winner of the East Robertson v. Greenbrier gameSunday.


In the other bracket, the LYBA Americans will play White House at1 p.m. after finishing second in their subdistrict at Greenbrier.The winner of the White House v. Lebanon American game will play tournament host Ashland City 11 a.m. Sunday.


EARLIER THIS WEEK-- Matthew Winfree pounded a pair of homers to help lead Lebanon's LYBA National League All-Stars to a 12-4 victory over White House in Monday's finals of the Dixie Youth O-Zone (11-12) all-star tournament at Penuel Field.


With the victory, the Nationals breezed through the sub-district undefeated in five games to earn a top seed in the District 4 tournament this weekend in Ashland City.


Trailing 4-1, the locals pushed across five runs in the bottom of the third and added three spots in both the fourth and fifth innings.


Winfree finished with three RBI while Luke Smith and Riley Hines each drove in a pair of runs.


Starter Ben Vance and reliever Braden Reese worked on the mound for the Nationals.


Greenbrier 15, Americans 11GREENBRIER -- Lebanon's American League All-Stars jumped out to a 9-0 lead, but host Greenbrier chipped away for a 15-11 victory in Monday's O-Zone subdistrict finals. Brady Chappell drove in three runs Monday while Matthew Jenkinson had two RBI.


Despite the loss, the Americans have advanced to this weekend's District 4 tournament in Ashland City.


The local squad earned a berth in the championship game thanks to a 16-6 victory over East Robertson Sunday in the finals of the loser's bracket. Kameron Bond and Jenkins each had three hits.


Greenbrier dealt the Americans a 14-1 loss Saturday.
