Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at Hillcrest Baptist Church for Mrs. Malone, 67, of Lebanon. A US Navy veteran and homemaker, Mrs. Malone died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her home.

Visitation is set for 2-8 p.m. Friday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Saturday after 11 at at the church. Services will be conducted by Brother Glenn Denton. Interment with military honors will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Born Jan. 30, 1946, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Robert King and Lou Kate Rogers Ash and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Dixon and two brothers, Frank Ashe and Gerald Ash. 

She is survived by her husband Steve Malone; seven children Diane (James) Steelman; Misty (Michael Allen) Billingsley of Watertown; John Billingsley Jr.; Angela (Richard) Bush; Shane (Angie) Belcher; Katherine Lynn (Danny) Hudson; and John Malone.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Zack Pardue, Tandi Stafford, Heather Steelman, Megan Clayborn, Riane Allen, Aaron Billingsley, Samantha & Ethan Bush, Jeffery & Savannah Belcher, Katie & Kacy Davenport, Chase Billingsley, Dakota Hudson, Hannah & Jacob Malone; great grandchildren, Michael Allen Harden, Zoey Golson and Devin Neal; sister Patsy Carey; brothers John, Hillary & William Ash; little sister, Betty Jean Reeder; and special friends, Betty Clarke and Faye Brinley.

Honorary pallbearers: Michele Carson, Sally Beale, and Tracy Lening.  Active pallbearers: nephews. The family would like to thank Hillcrest Baptist Church family for their prayers and support and Odyssey Hospice.

Memorials may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.
